Our Story
Rooted in Faith. Built on Love.
For decades, Wells Temple of Deliverance Church has been a beacon of hope, healing, and transformation in the heart of Chicago.
Our History
A Legacy of Deliverance
Wells Temple of Deliverance Church was founded on the unshakeable belief that God's power to save, heal, and deliver is available to every person. From humble beginnings, our congregation has grown into a vibrant, Spirit-filled community that reaches across generations.
Through decades of faithful ministry, we have remained committed to the Word of God, the power of prayer, and the call to serve our neighbors. Our history is not just a story of a church — it is a testimony of what God can do when His people come together in unity and purpose.

We believe in salvation through faith in Jesus Christ alone — His death, burial, and resurrection for the forgiveness of sins.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, empowering believers for service.
Healing
We believe in divine healing — that God still heals bodies, minds, and spirits today through prayer and faith.
Community
We believe the Church is called to be a family — loving, serving, and building one another up in Christ.
The Return of Christ
We believe in the imminent, personal return of Jesus Christ and the hope of eternal life for all who believe.
